Add Video and Image Labels with the Find a Clip or Find a Picture tool

Merge 3D supports adding multimedia labels to your own 3D models created with Merge or uploaded from 3rd party software.

The Find a Clip and Find a Picture tool makes it easy to find videos and images to add to your object labels.

Note: The video clips and images suggested by Merge are part of Creative Commons, so should be free to use for educational use. However, it is up to the user to ensure proper attribution is given.

Follow the instructions below to learn how it works:

  • Sign into dashboard.merge3d.ai.
  • Find your 3D object in your library.
  • Open your object and select Edit in the upper right corner.
  • Tap the Labels tab.
  • Tap the label you would like to add a video clip or picture  to.
  • Tap Find a Clip and wait a few moments until the suggestions pop up.
    • Tap a video  to add it. You will be able to preview it once it's added.
    • After watching the video clip, you can remove it by tapping remove media, then tap Find a Clip again to select a different one.

  • Tap Find a Picture to add an image, and wait a few moments until the suggestions pop up.
    • Tap an image to add it.
    • You can remove it by tapping remove media, then tap Find a Picture again to select a different one.

If you do not want to use any of the suggestions of videos or images using this tool, you can still add image files or video files separately on the same tab.

Simply add an image or video file, or drop in a YouTube or Vimeo link where designated on the screen.
