Uploading 3D Models with Object Uploader
Object Uploader lets you easily upload external 3D files created in software like Tinkercad, Fusion 360, Minecraft, Blender, and more to the Merge 3D platform.
Note: Uploader is compatible with FBX, OBJ, GLTF, and GLB file types under 100mb. You can also contain into a ZIP file with all associated textures.
Follow the steps below to upload:
Step 1. Sign in and Select Uploader
Sign into dashboard.merge3d.ai and then select Uploader from the home screen menu.
Step 2. Select your Object and add Details
Now it’s time to upload your 3D object! You can drag and drop the file, or upload it by browsing your computer.
Here you can also add a Name to title your object, and add a Description before you upload it. This will be visible in your object details.
You can also set the object to public or private access:
- Making an object Public will allow you to share it with anybody in the world that has access to your link or QR code.
- Marking an object as Private will only allow you to share it with those who also have a Merge 3D account.
Step 3. Upload the Object
When your object is finished uploading, select View Upload.
Step 4. View and Edit Object Details
When you select View Upload, you will be directed to your Uploader Object Library. Select the object you just uploaded.
Once you select your object, the 3D window will pop open. From here, select Edit so you can add multimedia labels and more.

Step 5. Interact with your Object!
There are multiple ways to interact with 3D models in Merge 3D for active, embodied learning. Learn how to interact in all the ways here!
Step 6. Share with others
Now it’s time to share with others! Select the Share button in the upper right corner of the screen. A link and QR code will pop up. You can print or screencast the QR code, and share the link as you normally would.
