Add a Merge 3D Icon to ClassLink

This option is designed for Lab subscriptions. It gives teachers and students an easy way to open the Merge 3D Platform from their ClassLink LaunchPad. It does not roster users or provide Merge SSO.

Add the Merge 3D Platform to ClassLink

1. Sign in to ClassLink LaunchPad.
2. Select the plus sign (+) to open the App Library.
3. Select Add App.
4. Enter the following information:
   • App Name: Merge 3D
   • Website URL: https://dashboard.merge3d.ai/
   • Icon: Upload or select the Merge 3D icon
5. Do not request or configure Single Sign-On for this shortcut.
6. Select Add App.
7. If you are a ClassLink administrator, assign the app to the appropriate schools, groups, teachers, or students.

ClassLink’s current instructions confirm that custom LaunchPad apps can be created by entering an app name, website URL, and icon. ClassLink: Add New LaunchPad Apps

Join the Merge Lab

After selecting the Merge 3D icon:

1. Select Have a Lab Code?
2. Enter the Lab Code provided by the Merge administrator.
3. Select Join Lab.

Make Access Even Easier

Instead of linking the icon to the general landing page, the ClassLink administrator can use the Lab’s direct access link:

https://dashboard.merge3d.ai/lab/join/XXXX-XXXX

Replace XXXX-XXXX with the organization’s Lab Code. This takes users directly to that specific Lab and may eliminate the need to enter the code each time.

The direct Lab link can be found in the Merge 3D Dashboard under:

Lab Codes → Manage

or:

District → Schools → Select a school → Labs → Manage
