Merge EDU apps require your camera permission to work in Cube Mode and World Mode (3D Mode does not require camera permission).
The first time you open a Merge EDU app, it will ask for your permission to use the camera and pop-up a request for access. If you agree, then the app will have the permission forever. However, if you tap “Don't Allow” you will need to go into your device settings to enable that permission manually.
Here are the steps to enable camera permissions on iOS and Android:
Enable camera on an iOS device
Follow these steps to enable the camera for Merge on an Apple device:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Tap on “Privacy”.
- Tap on “Camera” to see which apps have access to it.
- Enable “Merge Explorer” and “Object Viewer” to have access to your camera.
Enable camera on an Android device
Follow these steps to enable the camera for Merge EDU apps on an Android device:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Tap “Apps & notifications”.
- Tap “Merge Explorer” or “Object Viewer” (both need permission).
- Tap “Permissions”, then choose the “Camera” permission to enable.
