When it’s time to share specific digital teaching aids, collections of digital teaching aids, or your own 3D creations, you have the option of using a link, a QR code, an object code, or a collection code. This will allow others to view what you shared with them on the Merge Cube using the Merge Object Viewer app.

In this article, you’ll learn how to find an Object Code or Collection Code on the Dashboard to share, and how to enter the codes into the Object Viewer app.

1. First, go to https://dashboard.mergeedu.com/ and sign in to your Merge Account.
   
   
2. Your next step is to decide what type of object you want to choose to share. Your options are either an object from a premade collection of teaching aids, or an object that you uploaded yourself:

Sharing a Single Object

1. To choose an object from a teaching aids collection, tap “Object Viewer” from the side menu.
   
   
2. From the Object Viewer Collection page, tap on an object thumbnail to open that object's page.
   
   
3. From the object detail page, tap the “Share Options” button.
   
   
4. Copy the object code and share the way you normally would.

Uploaded Object

1. To get the object code from an object you’ve uploaded, tap the “My Stuff” menu to view a list of your objects.
   
   
2. Select one of the objects from the list of objects you uploaded to open the object detail page.
   
   
3. From the object detail page, tap the “Share Options” button.
   
   
4. Copy the object code and share the way you normally would.

Teaching Aid Collection

1. To choose a teaching aid collection, select “Object Viewer” from the side menu.
   
   
2. Scroll through the page, and select the collection you want to share. This will open the collection detail page.
   
   
3. From the detail page, tap the “Share Options” button to open the share content pop-up.
   
   
4. Copy the collection code and share the way you normally would.

Custom Collection

1. To get the collection code for a collection you created, first tap “My Stuff” from the side menu.
   
   
2. Next, tap the “Collections” link at the top of the page, then select the collection you want to share. This will open the collection’s detail page.
   
   
3. From the detail page, tap the “Share Options” button.
   
   
4. Copy the collection code and share the way you normally would.

 

1. In Object Viewer, open the navigation menu by tapping the three horizontal lines at the top-left corner of the screen.
   
   
2. Tap “Code Search” which will open up an input area and show your keyboard.
   
   
3. Enter the six character object or collection code, then tap “Return.”
   
   
4. Tap the “Play” icon and the object or collection will load on your device. Now it’s ready to be viewed on the Merge Cube.
