Labels add greater educational value to the hands-on digital teaching aids in the Object Viewer app, but sometimes educators and/or students may want to turn them off to test their own knowledge and memory.
Follow these instructions to find out how to turn off object labels:
Step 1 - View a digital teaching aid in the Object Viewer app
Open Object Viewer and select a digital teaching aid. Most of the digital objects in Object Viewer have labels. Some have many labels, whereas others may only have one or two.
In this example, we’re showing the Human Brain Cross-Section. Notice how there are labels pointing to the different parts of the brain.

Step 2 - Turn Labels on/off
Along the bottom of the screen, you will see a menu. Select "Options" from the menu to see the "Labels" toggle. You can tap the control to toggle the labels off and on.
Now that you know how to turn off labels, see if your students can describe what they see in the apps without the labels on! Without the labels, can they name all of the regions in the brain?
