Creating Custom Collections

Custom Collections help you organize related 3D content for lessons, units, presentations, or student projects. Create collections by topic, grade level, unit of study, project, or book to keep your favorite content organized and ready for instruction.

NOTE: You can add content from Merge EDU as well as anything you have uploaded or created with Merge Creator to your collections.

Create a Custom Collection 

  1. Sign in to the Merge 3D Dashboard at dashboard.merge3D.com.
  2. Search for the content you would like to add. See more here for the multiple ways you can search for content within the Merge 3D Platform.
  3. Select and view the content you would like to add to your Collection.  For this example, I’ve selected a 3D object from Object Viewer.
  4. Click the (+) Add button.
  5. Select (+) Create New Collection.
  6. Give the Collection and name Select Create and Add.
  7. Close the window (x). 
  8. Locate your custom collection in your Library.

Locate Your Custom Collections

  1. Launch Object Viewer, HoloGlobe, or Explorer from the Home Page of the Merge 3D Dashboard and select Library from the left-hand menu.
  2. Open the Collections tab.
  3. Select My Content to view all of your custom collections.
  4. Click Edit on any collection to view, edit, or manage its contents. Press Save Changes when done.
